Are you familiar with those little toy cars that you set down, pull back, and then let go? If done correctly, they will immediately race forward.

I thought, this is what some people think about God. That He set us here on earth, gave us breath, and then let go, having nothing more to do with us. Wrong!
God has a purpose and plan for us. Listen what Paul wrote: “This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:3-4).
As the “driver” in our “car”, we sit, usually focused on our immediate destination or plan. We forget to look up and see the One who is near enough to guide and help us, or listen to the One sitting right beside us.
At times, we lose our way and life seems out of control. Know that we can always turn to Him. When we crash and burn, He understands and remembers that we are “just dust” (or maybe rust). No alley is too dark nor any backroad too far off that He will not pick us up and tow our broken-down selves back to Him . . . if we just call. And U-turns are always allowed!
So, let’s watch where we’re driving. Stay within God’s guardrails. Avoid dangerous distractions. Hear Jesus teaching through our upgraded sound system, AKA the Holy Spirit. And hear Jesus’ words: “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it” (Matthew 7:13-14).
Maneuver carefully, my friends.
