Don’t Blame Him

Please don’t be mad at God
Because of what I did
Don’t turn away from Him
Because of things I said
I was someone you looked up to
But got tangled up in sin
Don’t blame Him!
Don’t blame Him!

I know I hurt you deeply
Deeper than I could understand
Caused your world to come crashing in
Broke your heart, upset your plan
No satisfying answers
To your where and why and when
Dashed hopes and disappointment
Daring not to trust again

But God is still God over all
Let Him reign in your life
He alone heals broken hearts
And hears your silent cries
Forgive me of my selfishness
The rebellion of my soul
Turn to Him and live for Him
And He will make you whole

The One True God
He does not change
He pours out His love for you
Let Him touch your hurting heart
Don’t blame Him for what I do!

For God is still God over all
May He reign in our lives
He can heal our broken hearts
And hear our silent cries
Please forgive me of my selfishness
The rebellion of my soul
Let’s turn to Him and live for Him
And He will make us whole –
Yes, He will make us whole.

About Arrow

Hi and welcome! My pen name is Arrow. The word “arrow” intrigues me because it has two meanings that describe my passions. One, it is an instrument used intentionally to reach a target, and two, it shows the way. As a believer and follower of Jesus Christ, my goals are to live for Him, lead others to Him, and glorify the Heavenly Father. I pray that the stories, poems, song lyrics, and devotional thoughts I share on this website will always be inspired by the Holy Spirit and aligned with the truths found in God’s Word. My hope is that the words may penetrate your heart and point the way to a closer relationship with the Savior. I look forward to sharing my journey with you. Experiencing what God has in store is bound to be exciting! May you be blessed! ~ Arrow
