Broken-hearted
I began to walk
With streaming tears
I cried to God

Crossing a field
Just wanting to hide
Ready to release
The hurt inside

Finding some shade
And a smooth rock to sit
I let the dam break
Let go – all of it!

And as it flowed free
The healing began
My Father was listening
The One, Great I AM

He touched my heart

Pain turned to praises
And thanks to my King

Never surprised
What we think or feel

When we surrender
All that’s gone wrong
Admitting our weakness
To the One who is strong

Yes, that’s what He does
He brings comfort and peace
Wisdom and guidance
To all those who seek

Yes, that’s what He does
He loves and forgives
Hoping we’ll believe,
Trust Him and live.
