About Arrow

Hi and welcome! My pen name is Arrow. The word “arrow” intrigues me because it has two meanings that describe my passions. One, it is an instrument used intentionally to reach a target, and two, it shows the way. As a believer and follower of Jesus Christ, my goals are to live for Him, lead others to Him, and glorify the Heavenly Father. I pray that the stories, poems, song lyrics, and devotional thoughts I share on this website will always be inspired by the Holy Spirit and aligned with the truths found in God’s Word. My hope is that the words may penetrate your heart and point the way to a closer relationship with the Savior. I look forward to sharing my journey with you. Experiencing what God has in store is bound to be exciting! May you be blessed! ~ Arrow

Blessing for Blessing

I came across a notable verse this morning during my devotion time. The beginning sounded familiar but it ended with a slight twist. A nice twist. Like ending your breakfast with a cinnamon twist. The letter written by Peter in … Continue reading

Watch Where You’re Driving!

Are you familiar with those little toy cars that you set down, pull back, and then let go? If done correctly, they will immediately race forward. I thought, this is what some people think about God. That He set us … Continue reading

Rise, Run, Reach

“The heavens declare the glory of God;the skies proclaim the work of his hands.Day after day they pour forth speech;night after night they display knowledge” (Psalm 19:1-2). I love that God speaks to us through His creation! Who has not … Continue reading

Locked Out

I did it! I locked myself outside of my car at church. Worse yet, my keys and phone were locked inside the car! I was stumped. The church office was closed. There was absolutely nothing I could do to help … Continue reading

We Can’t Help It!

You find an incredible sale, come across a delectable recipe, or see a cool cleaning or gardening hack. What do you do? If you are like me, you tell someone! The same thing happens when you hear good news. An … Continue reading

The Furnace of Affliction

Sometimes you hear a theme so encouraging you want to share it. That’s what’s happening today. A note was sent to me on Messenger where the timing was impeccable. It was only later that I realized the post was sent … Continue reading

Action Required!

I pray we have all heard from the Lord this week. Perhaps we studied a passage of Scripture, attended a church service, listened to a sermon, or read a devotion. When we make time for these things, we want to … Continue reading

A Sure Future

One of the wonderful things about being a believer is that we know the God who knows the future. We can hope, predict, and plan, but we cannot be sure what our earthly future holds. In the Old Testament, God … Continue reading

Our Problem-Solver

Don’t you hate it when the meteorologist predicts bad weather? More snow, more unseasonably hot or wet or dry conditions. The prophet Elijah had just delivered bad news to a bad king. No rain for the next few years! Trouble … Continue reading
