It took a minute. I had been reading … and then I realized I was also scratching … and scratching the back of my hand. I stopped reading. Upon close examination, I found the tiniest red dot. Apparently, a no-see-um … Continue reading

Beyond Belief

I believe in wearing deodorant, a seatbelt, and my wedding band. I feel these items benefit me and, in some cases, those around me. But, in these instances, if I don’t actually DO these things, my belief is irrelevant. Many … Continue reading

But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt (James 1:5-6a). Proverbs 4:7 challenges us with, “Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding.” And “for wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her” (Proverbs 8:11). As you read God’s Word, ask Him to speak to your heart and open your ears to what He has to say specifically to you each day. Continue reading

Set Plans

Sometimes we are so set on our plan, we forget to seek God’s will for our life.
… when we feel like we’re being swamped by a surge of continuous whitecaps, we may want to stop and re-evaluate our decisions and plans. Continuing to sail onward in stubbornness causes us to miss out on God’s peace and blessings. Continue reading
