Wednesday Whisper ~ Approach God?

What do we imagine being in the presence of God like? Are we afraid He will strike us with a bolt of lightning or zing us with relentless, thundering accusations? Or, do we envision a scene of peacefulness, joy, compassion, and hope? The story of the lost (prodigal) son (Luke 15:11-32) portrays God as a father who runs with welcoming arms to those ready to leave their rebellious way of life. Amazingly, we can be reassured He is waiting for us, longing for us to come ‘home’ to Him as well. Wednesday Whisper ~ True Freedom

Thank God He sent Jesus to free us from the power of death. Jesus, though innocent, received the punishment for the sin of everyone and broke the chains of sin that threaten to control us. Freedom back to an intimate relationship with the Father begins by believing Jesus is His one Son. Jesus is the key Who sets us free. “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” (John 8:36 NIV) May you experience true freedom in Him today. Continue reading →
