Hidden Treasure
James provides this encouragement with a warning, “If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt (James 1:5-6a). Proverbs 4:7 challenges us with, “Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding.” And “for wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her” (Proverbs 8:11).
